Although Revertex started as a manufacturer and marketer of natural rubber concentrates, it has successfully diversified into manufacturing polymers and resins. Today, Revertex has strongly established itself as a technology-based company.
The pioneering work in polymers, which was initiated by Revertex’s UK associates in late 1942, resulted in a fully-fledged emulsion plant set up by Revertex (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in 1965. Technological collaborations with the Synthomer group of companies further enhanced the plant’s development. Today, it is one of the largest and most advanced emulsion plants in Asia. Backed by a highly sophisticated, state-of-the-art computer system, the plant produces the present range of Emultex™ and Revacryl™ products which are used by industrial customers as base materials to manufacture decorative paints, textiles and adhesives.
In the late 1970s, Revertex Malaysia commissioned another plant to produce alkyd and unsaturated polyester resins to meet the growing local market for gloss paints, industrial coatings, high-performance composites and sophisticated stovings and automobile finishes.

Polymers Product Range
Polymers Dispersions (Emulsions):
The Emultex™ and Revacryl™ range of products are binders for the paint and adhesive industries. These vinyl acetate, acrylic and styrene acrylic polymer dispersions meet the varied demands of the coatings market.
Polycondensation Products:
Alkyds resins (Reversol™ range) are primarily used in high-gloss decorative and industrial applications. They are also the main resins found in printing inks, varnishes and lacquers. In the fibreglass-reinforced plastic industry, unsaturated polyester resins are applied in the manufacture of car putty, plywood overlay, synthetic marble, onyx and other casting applications.
